In May 2019, saaac members were involved in three submissions to the South Australian Law Reform Institute (SALRI) regarding the decriminalisation of SA’s abortion laws:

SALRI’s final report, which was released in December 2019, supported the decriminalisation of abortion in the State. It recognised that “a woman’s autonomy and access to best health care should be respected and promoted” and recommended that abortion be treated as a health service rather than a crime.
